Pellegrino Artusi - A man defined by his passions for cooking and literature, and the reason behind our name. An inspiration to food lovers around the world since 1891 - when La Scienza in Cucina e l'Arte di Mangiare Bene (The Science of Cooking and the Art of Eating Well) was first published. Since then, it has never gone out of publication. The book bonds the techniques of recipes with the romance of cooking and philosophy of living well, while representing cuisine from all regions of Italy in almost 800 recipes, which were all tested by Artusi before inclusion to the book. With this effort, he created what is still considered the original Italian cookbook - built with traditional and culturally defining recipes from all corners of the entire nation. We are proud to call ourselves Artusi, and embrace the history of Italian cuisine, while making it modern and inspired for you to enjoy.
